Being The Best Me I Can Be “Pay Forward” #68

Today’s “Pay Forward” gift is – Being The Best Me I Can Be. I can clearly see why so many A.As find Emmet Fox so helpful, it’s easy to understand. "If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father, which is in heaven give good things to them that ask Him?" Matthew 7:11. A lot of us focus on our wrong done or the good not done, which is self-centered, instead of the loving useful things we share. I think a “cutter” is one who has a core belief that if they cut out the "evil" in themselves they will be able to experience the love and value they are longing for. It is a cry for love and help. Is that what we are doing when we tell our story to other alcoholic? I often spend too much time in the past, leaving little time for the miracles and abundance so freely given to me. I should share more about the miracles and the abundant life I have. When asked how I am, I say a little above excellent, but to keep from sounding too good, I often add, I’ve learned to lower my standards, the fact by grace they are way above what I dreamed they could be. I strive to live the way I believe our Father Wills us to. "We are not saints. The point is we are willing to grow along spiritual lines." Thy Love, Thy Will be done.
