Today’s “Pay Forward” gift is - One-Termite-At-A-time. I bought into the idea that the change I want must be a big one. I find myself making an opportunity or problem more difficult than it need be. It’s easier learning as a child than an adult who thinks they have to defend their position, or at least explain or blame someone or something for whatever. I really want and need to have our Father as my only True Source. To realize His Presence I must surrender to His Will and Love in the small as well as the big things in life. This makes His guidance possible. I have been known to treat a sighting of one termite (it could have been a flying ant) as if it were a whole colony of some 60,000. Sometimes it doesn’t take much to put a distance between me and the Boss. A disapproving look, a fear-inspired failure or a not too harsh criticism can be enough. Why would I do that? I find myself building a case against myself to prove that I need a change. “The squeaky wheel gets the grease.” “The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm” Aldous Huxley. No wonder I love Psalm 91. “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.” Thy Love, Thy Will be done.
